So write down, lets start of with the one goal. The most important that you want to achieve. You write down, at least you want to write it down, so you write it down, you literally written a contract to yourself and you know to a universe . Write it down, it is there, it is on paper, right, you have committed to it now, and take it to the next step . Send that same goal, get it to your spouse, your partner, your friend, your family member, whatever it is . Make a copy of it, give it to that as well, so they can hold you accountable to that goal, and make sure so, you know, having the Goals is one thing, having a accountability takes it to the next level. Because now you have Fitter U fitness program who can check them with you, to make sure that you are on the right track in achieving that goal.
It is great to know what you want to achieve, this will be the second step of goal setting if you want to call it that way . It is probably even more important to know why you need to achieve it. Not why you want to achieve, but why you need to achieve it. Because a lot of time we set goals, and lot of times we do not realize them. I have realized that when we set goals that we are not very sure and excited about, we are not able to achieve them, this is based on my own experience from my own life and working with others . Simply because we don’t do it is a necessary to get through the challenge of stage, because we don’t have compelling reasons to do so. For instance, one of my challenges, okay, this is one of my goals. Waking up early is one of my goals for long time, I love getting up early, but for whatever reason I am having tough time doing so .
I love getting up 5:30, 6 in the morning and getting my day started because I love getting stuff done really early in the morning. But for whatever reason, majority of my days I get up around 8 a.m. it is kind of really get up when my eyes are open . I will set up my alarm clock. I work from home, so there is no pressure. There was when I was training clients at 7 a.m. So for me if there is got to be, a I am still trying to find that compelling reason why that is going to get me out the bed two-two and half hours earlier than I normally would, and I really encourage you do to the same thing .
So if you want to lose, lets say, I am going to use an example again, I want to lose 25 pounds, what is the reason why and the more reasons you can come up with, even more powerful those would be at moving you towards that ultimate goal. If you decide that you want to lose 25 pounds without any compelling reason, you are not going to achieve that . You are not going to achieve that goal of weight loss. Because you are just not going to have the fuel in the engine to keep, you know, to keep compelling you towards that goal. Okay.
So it is a very important idea. It is a very important concept. You set the goal, where you have to know, where you are already right now, right, where are you right now, where you want to get to that is your goal, and then figure out this reasons why and reasons that will really get you emotionally charged and those will get you towards the goal. Because when things get tough, and they will, right, life isn’t easy, you are working towards something worthwhile is not easy. But the challenges come, we can also pull those reasons why, out of the bag, and that is what going to compel, towards your ultimate success.
